Our vacation began with our sweet girl waking up in a FANTASTIC mood:) She is such a happy girl in the mornings. However, this did not last long.
Thank goodness GG was able to come over & hold her so we could get everything packed & ready to go.
Daddy got everything in the car - it's amazing how much 'stuff' you have to take when you have a baby. I think the only thing we left at home was the kitchen sink.
In the car and on our way. This smile did not last long either. For most of the trip she screamed, and once we got there, she continued to scream for another 2 hours. Let's just say Saturday was a LONG day.
Sunday was much better. We went to church that morning and then took the babies out on the beach for the very first time.
This was Becca's first time in the ocean. I think she liked it.
Our first day on the beach - Becca was over it at this point.
So, we went back to the umbrella and took that sandy bathing suit off.
Hayes really enjoyed the sand - especially eating it.
Playing on the beach is hard work!
Daddy tried this hat on Becca - it was precious:)
Hayes tried on a hat too!
Daddy was showing Becca all of the fish.
Hayes tried out his driving skills on this boat.
Both babies tried out the 4-wheeler!
For some reason, this is the only picture I have from our second day at the beach, but it is totally cute. Becca got really fussy after she got wet & sandy, so we just left her clothes off and let her nap in her tent!
The next morning, JP and I took Becca for a walk on the beach. It was a gorgeous morning.
Love this baby:)
It was truely amazing to be standing on the beach with MY daughter.
Becca enjoyed the early morning walk...
Becca enjoyed the early morning walk...
especially with her Daddy carrying her.
This trip gave us a lot of time to love on our baby, AND baby Hayes!
Hayes & Becca really enjoyed playing together on the beach!
Hayes even taught Becca a new trick....
After another
And check out what the wind will do to your hair!
The golf cart came in handy for taking stuff to the beach....
and for taking babies on short rides!
While we were at the beach, our sweet Becca turned 3 months old. Here is her 3 month picture. Now I know that having a different backgroud bothers
We took turns watching the babies so each couple could go out. JP and I went to a murder mystery dinner theater. We had a good time and it was nice having a date night:)
Some days, Mommy had to take a nap too!
The walk to the beach would really wear you out...
sweet boy!
He was all over the place!
Our last day on the beach.
He is too cute!
Hayes had fun playing with Uncle Bubba.
What a cute family!
Most beach days ended with a quick cool down in the swing,
followed by a bath,
a nap,
and of course, a quick picture:)
We hated to see our vacation end, but were thankful to be able to spend a week enjoying the beach with our sweet girl and some great friends!
We prayed for our car ride home to go a little smoother than the trip there, and at first, it seemed like things were going well....
